About
I have spent over a decade in human osteopathy, specializing in sports injuries, complex pain, and post-operative rehabilitation. My interest in animal osteopathy grew from my personal experience rehabilitating my rescue animals, including those who had lost limbs before coming into our care. One of the most rewarding experiences was seeing my bearded collie, Bella, amaze me with her recovery while working under my care. This experience inspired me to deepen my osteopathic skills and apply them to animal care. My approach to treatment is patient-centered, or more accurately, owner and animal-centered. I believe in creating a team dynamic between the pet and their caregiver to ensure a treatment plan that is realistic and achievable. I take the time to thoroughly examine each animal, gather a detailed case history, and develop a personalized hands-on treatment plan. This plan may include education, advice, and targeted exercises that fit the dog’s lifestyle, so they receive the care they need for both recovery and prevention. I have a strong interest in both preventive care and post-surgical rehabilitation. I find great satisfaction in helping animals maintain long-term mobility and quality of life, as well as guiding them through the recovery process after surgery with patience and care. Outside of osteopathy, I enjoy squash, diving, and reading. These activities help me stay balanced and energized, enabling me to be the best practitioner I can be for my animal patients. My passion for giving back the joy animals have brought into my life drives my work, and I look forward to continuing to grow my skills in animal osteopathy to positively impact the lives of pets and their families.
