About
Hi, I’m Maria, and that adorable canine below is Soneca! As a dog behaviorist, my primary goal is to bridge the communication gap between dogs and their owners. Often, there is a lack of understanding regarding what dogs want or are trying to say, leading to various issues such as excessive barking, destructive behavior, aggression towards strangers, other dogs, or even the owners, difficulty going for peaceful walks, and challenges with socialization. Through my work, I help dog owners unlock the language of their furry companions, enabling both to effectively communicate. One of the fundamental aspects of effective communication is teaching dog owners to observe and interpret their pet’s body language. Dogs communicate primarily through non-verbal cues, such as facial expressions, body posture, and tail wagging. By becoming attuned to these signals, owners can better understand their dog’s emotions and intentions. Additionally, I provide dog owners with practical and achievable techniques and strategies to address specific behavioral issues that may occur on the day-to-day life. These techniques may include positive reinforcement training, behavior modification exercises, and environmental enrichment. Further, a key aspect of my approach is to identify and address any underlying issues that may be contributing to a dog’s problematic behavior. These issues can range from undiagnosed pain, trauma, separation anxiety, and more. By delving deeper into these potential causes, we can provide long-term solutions rather than quick fixes. It is important to note that my methods are not a one-size-fits-all solution but rather emphasize the importance of a holistic perspective. This means considering various factors that may contribute to a dog’s behavior, including their physical health, mental stimulation, and socialization opportunities. Each dog is unique, and their behavior should be approached with an individualized perspective. Implementing these methods cons.
