Stuart is acknowledged as the leading world expert on animal flexibility and mobility. He was the creator and first to apply Body Adjustment techniques to horses and dogs, starting in 1984, and is recognized as the originator of modern animal osteopathy. He wrote ‘The principles of osteopathy applied to the horse,’ the first written work on the subject.

Stuart has lectured extensively in the UK and internationally and regularly advises horse and dog care organizations – including vets, trainers, riders, and other equine and canine therapists – of the animal structure and function. He has trained many leading UK and overseas practitioners at the renowned Osteopathic Centre for Animals in Wantage, where he is the Centre’s Principal. He sees thousands of horses in his equine osteopathy practice every year, ranging from famous horses of famous owners and trainers to sport, club, and leisure horses and ponies.
