About
As a qualified human physiotherapist, I have developed a strong professional interest in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction, particularly through connective tissue release techniques, Western acupuncture, and biomechanical analysis.
Throughout my career, I have seen how even subtle restrictions in movement and tissue function can affect comfort, performance, and overall well-being. This experience has inspired me to expand my knowledge and apply my clinical skills within the equine field.
As an active horse owner and competitor in endurance riding, dressage, and racing, I have a practical understanding of the physical demands placed on horses across different disciplines. My involvement in training, competition, and daily horse management has helped me appreciate the importance of optimal movement, soundness, and long-term physical health.
I am particularly interested in how compensatory movement patterns, fascial
restrictions, and biomechanical imbalances can influence both performance and injury risk. Completing an Equine Osteopathy Diploma would allow me to develop advanced skills in assessing and treating horses through a holistic and evidence-informed approach.
By integrating osteopathic principles with my existing physiotherapy background, I hope to deepen my understanding of the interconnected nature of the equine musculoskeletal system and contribute meaningfully to horse health, welfare, and performance.
I am excited by the opportunity to further develop my clinical skills in a field that combines my professional expertise with my lifelong passion for horses.
